B.Tech LEET has 90 MCQs divided into 4 sections. All 90 questions must be attempted; candidates can choose any B.Tech branch during counselling regardless of their diploma branch.

Eligibility Criteria
🔧 BTech LEET Eligibility
- ✓3-Year Diploma in Engineering / Technology from a recognized board (HSBTE or equivalent). Minimum 45% aggregate (relaxation for SC/BC/EWS).
- ✓B.Sc. Graduates with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics may also be eligible for certain B.Tech branches as per HSTES norms.
- ✓Branch Flexibility: Any engineering diploma branch can apply for ANY B.Tech branch during counselling.
- ✓Haryana Domicile required for state quota seats.

Preparation Strategy
Download the HSTES official syllabus PDF. Note the 4-section structure (A: Basic Sciences 25M, B: Electronics 25M, C: Mechanical 20M, D: Other Streams 20M). Focus on high-weightage topics.
Set a 90-minute timer and attempt 90 questions. Since it is a computer-based test (OCET), practice on a screen. No negative marking — always attempt all questions.
ChatGPT, Google Gemini and YouTube are highly effective. Search topic-wise explanations instead of buying expensive books (rarely available for LEET).
Go through 5th/6th semester diploma textbooks for branch subjects. HSBTE diploma notes directly align with the LEET syllabus.
Sections A+B together carry 50 out of 90 marks. Math (8Q) and Electronics (25Q) are the highest-yield areas. Practise these daily.
With zero negative marking, never leave any question blank. Make an educated guess if unsure — this alone can add 5–10 extra marks.

Counselling Process
After the Haryana LEET 2026 result, eligible candidates register for online counselling through the HSTES portal.
- Result & Merit List: HSTES publishes LEET 2026 result and state merit list on hstes.org.in. Download your scorecard.
- Counselling Registration: Register on HSTES counselling portal. Pay counselling fee online.
- Document Verification: Upload: Diploma certificates, marksheets, domicile certificate, category certificate, class 10th certificate.
- Choice Filling & Locking: Fill college + branch preferences in order. Lock before deadline — changes not allowed after locking.
- Seat Allotment Rounds: Multiple rounds (typically 2–3). Pay seat acceptance fee if allotted. Wait for upgradation in next round if desired.
- Report to College: Visit allotted college for physical document verification and fee payment within the reporting date.
